Rooted & Reaching invites us to remember the people, places, traditions, stories, and experiences from childhood that root us and shape who we are. Across generations, we carry different memories and wisdom, and when we create together, those stories have a chance to meet. Through finger painting and artful play, children, parents, grandparents, and friends can rediscover the simple joy of creating without worrying about getting it “right.” There is something wonderfully healing about getting our hands into the paint, remembering where we have come from, listening to one another, and imagining where we are still growing. Our roots may be different, but together our branches reach toward one another; connecting generations, nurturing belonging, and creating something more beautiful together than any of us could create alone.
