Tuesday Morning Sewing Group
These beautiful quilts were handmade by our sewing group that meets on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 12 noon in Johnson Hall at Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
At a recent service, the guild showed, to the congregation, more than 40 quilts that they made during the past year.
Twice a year, Nina Ouimette and her volunteers deliver 40 plus quilts to the Spinal Cord Injury part of the Veterans Hospital in Tampa.
The Sewing group continues to make quilts and delivers them to the Veterans Hospital every year.
We were told the Veterans really appreciate them; especially, when they have to wait for tests, etc., they get cold. The Veteran in these photos told me I could share his picture with the quilt that was given to him. We left our quilts, love and prayers for these Veterans who have given so much for our Freedom. God Bless our Veterans.
We also send a few to the Dawn Center of Hernando County to give to women and children who leave abusive domestic relationships.
If you would like to help us make these quilts,
please call 352-683-9016
You do not need to know how to sew - we could use your helping hands in putting together the completed sections.
Veterans received quilts from Holy Cross Ladies Sewing Guild.
